I’ve been an assistant teacher at your school for three weeks now. I’ve enjoyed my time here and got to know devoted teachers, diligent students and a great kitchen team. As I am a primary teacher myself, school wasn’t totally new to me. But I was surprised how easily the students cope with two different languages and how talented they are in reading and writing. I’ll go home now with a whole bunch of exciting new ideas and a lot of lovely memories. Thank you for letting me be part of your family. I’ll miss you!”.

Swiss family, children in Kindergarten and Primary School
As a bilingual family (German/English) we chose OBS for our eldest child to maintain and develop his home languages. Originally we were drawn to OBS because of its approach to and understanding of bilingual education and the drive of the teaching staff. These still remain key selling points for us.
Over the last five years, the school has grown significantly but has kept its focus on quality. Today, our three children attend the school. Each one is highly motivated to learn and is thriving in the caring, multi-cultural environment OBS provides.
Swiss/British family, children in Prekindergarten, Kindergarten & Primary School
My children have attended Obersee Bilingual School for the past three years. They are currently in Pre Kindergarten and the 1st grade. We chose the school mainly for its bilingual curriculum but also for the drive and dedication of the staff.
The school has continued to develop in a positive way and I am looking forward to seeing the school take the next exciting steps as they continue to grow to include more grades and larger facilities.
I truly believe that the bilingual curriculum offered will give my children an advantage in life. My children like going to school, they like their teachers, and they are proud of the fact that they know more than one language and learn new things every day. They have friends from near and far and learn new things about the world from their friends. As a full-time, working mother I also appreciate the flexibility that Obersee Bilingual School offers in the form of early drop off, late care and a comprehensive holiday care programme.
Expatriate family
We are a mixed-nationality family raising our children in two European languages. OBS provides a great opportunity for our children to stay immersed in a multicultural environment that supports bilingualism, allowing them to add English as a third language.
For the parents, OBS enables ties with other families with similar backgrounds supporting the same type of education.
One of the many advantages we saw at OBS was that it offers full day care from baby-age up to 6th grade "all under one roof". For those children staying in late care (4-6pm), there are extra-curriculum activities they can participate in.
Perhaps most importantly, the fact that our children attend happily every day, it's a warranty for us.
Mixed-national family
Thought this information would be of interest for parents and people looking for teaching jobs. Because of the great success of Obersee Bilingual School, they are expending their facilities in Pfäffikon coming this fall season. I believe they will have some places available for pre-kindergarden, kindergarden and Primary school. My daughter has been going there for more then a year and I can only say good things about there teaching methods and the great staff they have. With no hesitation would I recommend to you check out this school.

I have two boys, ages 2 &3, who attended OBS babycare in 2007 & 2008. When initially searching for day care centers (including Swiss Krippen), OBS immediately stood out to me as a place with a combination of extremely qualified staff, an inviting environment for children, and a bilingual approach to early childhood care blended with an international air.
While our children enrolled, I felt they always enjoyed a feeling of security, careful physical care and emotional attention. In addition, I was relieved that my older son began speaking equally often in German & English during his time there – certainly due to the German exposure at OBS since we speak only English at home.
We appreciated the quality of the babycare group and its leadership by Pamela Bremer, and we have had a real challenge to find a center with equal offerings in our new surroundings (after 1 year we are still searching).
We hope that perhaps OBS may branch out near us soon…

I would just like to say a big thank you, to you and all involved in making my day at Obersee Bilingual School last Friday as welcoming as it was; It was a well structured and lovely day. Each and every one of you took the time to make me feel part of the school for the day and in a short time I learned so much and I am very grateful to you.
It is a lovely school with well balanced and disciplined children (sadly a rearatey now in the UK). Mick Sutton's class was a fun and safe place for the children to learn, as every classroom should be, full of excitement.
I thank you again.
