Last month we opened our doors once again to our families and the public to give a glimpse into the daily program of our bilingual all-day school.
March-Anzeiger & Höfner Volksblatt, April 10, 2018.
On Open Day, we offered the opportunity to look into our successful teaching concept and to learn more about the different educational levels offered. Bilingual tutoring and classes were attended in the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, primary and high school, as well as robotics, computer programming and aikido. Tanja Alvesalo, Admissions Director, commented, "This Open Day once again provided a wonderful opportunity for our pupils, students and teachers to welcome existing families and new interested parents to the classrooms". CEO, Uwe Feuersenger, School Management, Staff and Board Members of the OBS Parent Association were all present to welcome visitors and show the school to interested parties. The school thanks all visitors, the PA and OBS staff for a successful Open Day.
Building a strong community is very close to the heart of the OBS, which was re-lived on the now-traditional children's marketplace weekend between the two Open Days. Parent Association and hardworking helpers showed full commitment during the Friday and Saturday market, where many items changed hands. A portion of the proceeds of this year's children's market is donated to the association Sternentaler, which advocates for families in difficult situations.
Open Days and children's markets take place twice a year. More info can be found in our school calendar.
